Privacy notice
This notice explains how TutorHub uses information in its private tuition workspace and its Gmail connection. Contact Steve at tutoringwithstevef@gmail.com about access, corrections, deletion or the use of your information.
Tuition records
The workspace stores information supplied for tuition, including pupil and booking-contact details, learning profiles, optional gender and explicitly supplied pronouns, lesson times, teaching notes, agreed prices, invoices and payment-reconciliation records. Steve uses these records to organise and deliver tuition and manage the related administration.
Steve may prepare names, booking contact details, school year, subject and learning goals before sending a private invitation. Parents can review and correct those profile prefills. Agreed prices remain tutor-controlled. Optional gender is not used to infer pronouns. Private tutor preparation notes are not included in parent pages.
Google account information and Gmail
When the tutor connects Gmail, the app obtains their verified Google email address, authorised permissions and an authorisation credential that lets the app obtain access to send messages. It requests account identity, email address and Gmail send permission only. It does not request inbox-reading, mail-search or contacts access.
The app uses the authorised Gmail account to send lesson-rescheduling confirmations to the recorded booking contact when a lesson is moved and automatic confirmations are enabled. The recipient address, subject and message body are transmitted to Google to send the message. The app retains the notification status and, when returned, Google’s message identifier so the tutor can review the outcome and avoid duplicate sending.
Google account information and Gmail authorisation are not used for advertising, sold to data brokers or used to train AI models. Optional teaching-assistance requests are separate from the Gmail connection and require the tutor to confirm the selected teaching material before it is sent to a configured AI provider.
TutorHub’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and access
The private hosted app uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare-hosted storage. Saved Gmail authorisation credentials are encrypted and kept separately from tuition records; ordinary record exports and backups exclude them. Access to the hosted workspace requires its authorised sign-in. Google processes messages sent through Gmail under its own terms and privacy information.
The public information pages contain no pupil records or account credentials. Private invitation pages on this host allow the link holder to view and update the invited pupil’s learning profile, book available lessons and change or cancel that pupil’s lessons within the tutor’s rules. A server-side gateway passes these scoped requests to the private workspace; it does not expose admin routes or store a separate copy of tuition records. Netlify hosts the public pages and gateway. Calendar subscription links allow read-only access to the chosen feed without sign-in: an owner feed may include pupil names and meeting details; a busy-only feed omits names, contacts, prices and meeting credentials. Keep all these links private. The tutor can revoke a link in Settings, though a calendar client may retain previously downloaded events until it refreshes or the subscription is removed. Its hosting provider processes routine web-request information needed to serve the pages. These pages do not include advertising or tracking scripts.
Retention, disconnection and deletion
Tuition records remain in the workspace until Steve removes or replaces them; removing a Gmail connection does not delete lesson, invoice or payment history. Disconnecting Gmail removes the saved Gmail authorisation credential from the app and attempts to revoke it with Google. The app reports if revocation could not be confirmed. The tutor can also revoke access in Google Account connections. Stored Google application configuration is separate from the sending authorisation.
Contact Steve to ask about information held for tuition or to request a correction or deletion. Any records that must be retained for accounting or another applicable obligation are considered separately from Gmail access.
Questions and changes
Questions can be sent to tutoringwithstevef@gmail.com. This notice will be updated if the app’s data practices change.
